Zenon Consulting is dedicated to 'transformation through people'.

Zenon has four highly experienced board directors, a strong business support team and a flexible associate network of 40 associates.

We have provided HR, organisational development, project and interim management services to the NHS, wider health sector, SMEs and not for profit organisations since 1998. Between us, we have decades – if not centuries! – of expertise to offer our existing and prospective clients.

Our specialist areas are :

  • Senior interim management
  • Organisational transformation
  • People management and development
  • Quality through leadership

Our key role is to energise staff and stakeholders to achieve the desired results and sustainable change.

We...
  • align and gain buy-in from stakeholders
  • improve quality, productivity and efficiency
  • transform and reconfigure services and/or organisations
  • change attitudes, behaviours and cultures

Our philosophy is to provide efficient, clear, focused services, working with our clients to bring about flexible, practical solutions and change – in other words, transformation through people.

The focus and journey people taken when faced with development and change – be they patients, stakeholders, partners, managers, employees or other interested parties - effects the end results. Everyone ultimately makes impact on an organisation’s performance and its people.

Our practice is continuously influenced by our philosophy, beliefs and values. We are not traditional management consultants who diagnose a problem, give a prescription or report and walk away, only to be called in again when another prescription is needed.

We believe in and deliver evidence-based solutions which are backed up by our own professional and personal development.

All Zenon Associates actively pursue personal development with the majority of our associates having MBAs or Masters in strategic HR, organisational change and development.

Our academic rigour is, of course, important. However it is very much balanced by experience and a pragmatic, realistic and practical approach which past and current clients have found to be beneficial.

Healthcare Top 100 awards – Zenon Awards go to top NHS organisation, South Essex Partnership University FT and independent care provider, Hayden Mayer Care Home

At the prestigious Healthcare Top 100 awards held at London’s Hilton in Park Lane on 7 July, Zenon were delighted to award South Essex Partnership University NHS Foundation Trust and Hayden Mayer Care Home the two Zenon Top Employers Awards for Performance Management and Development.

NHS
South Essex Partnership University Foundation Trust

SEPT has a well thought out and extensive appraisal system and the Trust is currently appraising around 98% of its staff. Team appraisals help members to appreciate the contribution and skills other members bring to the team.
The Trust’s commitment to staff development is clear. Training and development starts with induction and continues throughout an employee’s career. Development opportunities are offered to those staff in lower bands so they can become assistant practitioners or move above that level. At management level career progression and succession planning are encouraged to enable good managers to progress further.
SEPT were also the overall winner of the Healthcare Top 100 list of organisations.

Independent sector
Hayden Mayer Care Home
Hayden Mayer Care Home employs around 30 employees. The organisation has many policies and procedures in place, which for a small organisation is often difficult to establish. Staff receive annual appraisals and there is good evidence of communication and engagement with staff.
Staff are encouraged to go further with their careers with an emphasis on training and development. Practices are constantly updated and roles reassessed and expanded.

On behalf of everyone at Zenon we congratulate both winners of this award.
